Chiara Logli, MA
Founding Fellow
Chiara is devoted to designing, facilitating and assessing academic and experiential programs that foster cross-cultural understanding. She has 10 years of experience in intercultural communication, diversity training and community building - serving college students, faculty, staff and the public at a large.
During her posts at the University of California Berkeley International House and at the University of California Santa Barbara MultiCultural Center, she developed and evaluated multidisciplinary events featuring peace education, cultural competence and student leadership.
Chiara also worked with several non-profit organizations, including the San Francisco International Film Festival, the Monterey World Music Festival, the Cultural Council for Monterey County and the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. These programs spark dialogue across cultural divides, advocate for the marginalized communities, and enhance our shared humanity.
Chiara is an Italian Language & Culture instructor and has taught at the Italian Institute in San Francisco, the Dante Alighieri Society in Santa Cruz, and the Adult School in Watsonville.
She received a Master’s degree in International Relations with a specialization on multiculturalism from the University of Bologna (Italy), a certificate in Intercultural Communication from the Intercultural Communication Institute in Portland, and an Education Abroad Program diploma from the University of California Santa Barbara.
A citizen of both Italy and the US, Chiara has studied in five countries, speaks four languages, and travels extensively with Servas International. She grew up in Italy in a family of four generations under one roof and now lives in the US with her husband, learning everyday from their cross-cultural and interfaith marriage.
